Hello everyone,
Neptune Open 2011 is a Speedcubing Competition.
Speedcubing is the activity of solving a Rubiks Cube or related puzzles as quickly as possible.
Competitors from all countries are welcome.
(Note for children : please ask permission from your parents before registering).
every competitor should have read the official WCA regulations at least once before attending the competition !
It will follow the World Cube Association regulations. Competitors must be fully aware of the regulations.
Competition results will be added to the official WCA records.
The maximum limit of competitors is 40.
Competitors must be available for scrambling and judging.
The WCA delegate of the Neptune Open 2011 is Clément Gallet.
The registration is actually closed.
Shedule and Location ?
February 19-20 2011
19, avenue Guy de Collongue, 69130 Ecully, France
The competition will start at 9:00 AM (registration at 8:30 AM) and will end at about 6:30 PM.
How to coming ?
By the Perrache SNCF train station :
Take the bus n°55 (Line 55 : Perrache – Tassin – Ecully – Ecole Centrale), and get off at the terminus (Ecole Centrale).
(30 minutes)
By the Lyon Part-Dieu SNCF train station :
Join the stop-off Part-Dieu - Servient, take the tramway T1 to Montrochet, then get off at Perrache.
Finally, take the bus No. 55 towards Ecully and get off at the terminus (Ecole Centrale). (+/- 1 hour)
By the Saint-Exupery (Satolas) Airport :
Take the Tram Express Rhônexpress, then get off at Lyon Part-Dieu.
Join the stop-off Part-Dieu - Servient, take the tramway T1 to Montrochet, then get off at Perrache.
Finally, take bus No. 55 towards Ecully and get off at the terminus (Ecole Centrale). (+/- 1 hour 30)
Where to sleep ?
There are many possibile places where you can stay. We recommend you to stay in l'hôtel Campanile,
at 42 avenue Guy de Collongue. (Next the competition location, in the same street)

Is there something to win ?
The 3 best competitors in every category will receive certificates.
For beginners...
There will be plenty of time to test the equipment (for example the official timing device, the Stackmat timer)
and discuss the rules, if you have questions. However, every competitor should have read the official WCA regulations
